honestly I’m disappointed in Misty. I get what she’s trying to say, but I’m so sick of people saying that dance is a sport when it’s not. It’s an art. Stop making it seem competitive when it shouldn’t be.

as a dancer i like to think about dance as both an art and a sport, calling it a sport doesnt take anything away from it or make it any less of an art in my opinion

the definition of a sport is “an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment”. You want people to see dance as just another form of entertainment where people compete? 

Sorry, but that is not what dance is, or what it’s supposed to be.
